Ashmita Patel, BS Pharm is a pharmacist currently employed at CVS Health.  She was born into a family that grew up in a small village in the Fiji Islands.  From there she attended school in New Zealand and went on to graduate from pharmacy school at the University of Otago.  During her college years she was featured in Air New Zealand’s Fashion Week along with various other campaigns of fashion designs as a runway model. She has presented on safe use of medications in partnership with the Police department to schools in Auckland.

After working in New Zealand for several years, she became certified/licensed in the United States as a clinical pharmacist.  She initially started her career at Target pharmacy as an intern and has progressed to the role of pharmacy manager, preceptor to pharmacy students and assisting  district leaders for CVS Health.

Aside from achieving her career goals, Mrs. Patel has been focused on giving back to the local community where she was born. Every year she visits her father’s native village in Fiji and donates school supplies, children’s school uniforms and toys.  In addition, she meets with the local school children annually to empower them to work hard and dream big, so they can also fulfil their goals no matter what challenges and obstacles they may face.  The idea first came to her as she wanted to express to her family the need to give and make a difference in this world.  As a result, this program has been ongoing for three years and her entire family has been inspired to participate, including her children.

Her goal is make today count so our tomorrow stays connected.
